🔨#2 - Renixing
I have once again embarked upon a quest to get my head around NixOS.
While I have dabbled in the past, I’ve always given up after delving a certain depth. Usually the point where things go from well-documented patterns to “ah you should use flakes”, “use this additional community tooling” or “copy and paste this obtuse code from my nixfiles” at which point I start losing confidence and give up.
This time around, I’m going in with the goal of actually learning the core concepts and properly understanding the Nix language. Let’s see how far I get.
🎲 Argent: The Consortium - interesting worker placement game with high variability. Does a lot of interesting things but also feels a little bogged down in mechanisms, and perhaps has a bit too much of a ‘take-that’ element for my liking.
🕹️ Tunic - I am not a souls-like person - I don’t have the patience to keep retrying combat encounters or to learn boss patterns - I just want to explore a world and constantly make progress. I have been enjoying Tunic because it does exploration really well (treasure everywhere!) and it provides excellent accessibility options for when I get frustrated with combat.
