May 2021 Braindump

• 🎮 Been enjoying Disco Elysium quite a lot - a really engaging world, story and characters - although it does take the right frame of mind to pick up. Satisfactory has been this month’s mindless ‘go-to’.

• 📺 Found Wintergatan, who is building a music-playing marble machine. A fascinating constantly evolving piece of engineering.

• ⌨️ I finally built my first mechanical keyboard. A GMMK Tenkeyless with Gateron yellows, if you care. It’s nice, but it’s definitely taking some getting used to.

• 🎲 Boardgaming has sadly taken a backseat recently (I suppose there’s a good reason), but I was excited to receive my copy of Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile - the new release from Cole Wehrle, the designer of Root (one of my favourites in recent years).

  Oath promises to chronicle the history of its world over repeated plays, each game causing consequences for future games. Looking forward to diving in.
